Curd Rice Recipe | Thairu Sadam | Quick lunch Recipe
Ingredients
Rice - 3 cups
Yogurt / Curd - 1 cup
Warm water - 1/4 cup
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
mustard seed - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seed - 1/4 tsp
Toor dal - 1/4 tsp
Dried chilli - 3
Grated carrot - one handful
Asafoetida - 2 pinch
Salt - as per taste
Nuts - Any nuts (here i used peanuts)
In a bowl, mix together rice, yogurt, and warm water thoroughly until well mashed.
Heat coconut oil in a pan, then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, toor dal, and dried chili. Sauté briefly for a few seconds.
Incorporate grated carrots, nuts, and salt into the mixture. Sauté for a few minutes until they are tender.
Combine the carrot mixture with the rice and stir thoroughly until evenly mixed.Check salt and add if needed.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
