SUBARU Drain and fill guide! Short and sweet, no BS!
WRX, FORESTER, IMPREZA, LEGACY, CROSSTREK
Watch this guide so you dont mess up your cvt or differential by filling up the wrong places with the wrong juices. I recommend you drain and fill the cvt fluid every 30k miles or more often if you run off-road or drive up and down grades to prolong the life of the transmission. I found that it is wise to have 6 quarts of cvt fluid on hand when you do the job, (4.5-5.5 quarts to fill if you just drained it, takes more if you fill dry after an overhaul) and fill at least 3 qts before running the car in neutral to fill till it starts coming out. The fluid is Orange in color, get the redline cvt non-slip fluid. The diff drain plug is a t70 torx, the other plugs are hex bit (Allen Key) 8mm and 10mm.
I mentioned passenger and driver side incorrectly, i meant to say right hand side, is fill plug or breather.
