2017 - More Leftover Footage
Once much more common on services around Manila, the South Korean built ROTEM railcars are a lot more thin on the ground nowadays. Especially in 2020/21 when new rollingstock has been gradually getting introduced from INKA of Indonesia.
At the time of this video, GE U14/15C locomotives, hauling former Japanese EMU stock, former the bulk of local services on the south line. There were, however, the occasional DMU railcars scattered in between.
Things have started to greatly change, with six new sets of INKA built railcars having entered service. While new locomotives, and rollingstock, also having built by INKA of Indonesia, turned up in recent weeks.
The U14C and U15C remain the best looking, and sounding, locomotives on the Philippine National Railways.
The 'Philippine Railway Historical Society' is entering it's 22nd year of building a railfan hobby in the Philippines. Despite the regular attacks by cowards in the hobby, we continue to grow and be more than just an internet based chat group.
Locomotive 902 has been the 'Philippine Railway Historical Society' logo for over a decade.
