Known as the king of wines and the wine of kings, Nebbiolo, is one of the most important grapes of Italy.
Found mostly in Piedmont, specifically the DOC region of the Langhe and best known as the only wines made in Barolo DOCG and Barbaresco DOCG (both near the town of Alba). The wines are big, bold, tannic, acidic, and so age-worthy they can at times be difficult to drink young. They can also be hard to find at lower price points, but are often well-worth a little splurge!
