Warren Buffett is the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, and widely considered to be the most successful investor of all time.
After famously being rejected by the Harvard Business School, he enrolled in graduate studies at Columbia Business School. While there, Warren Buffet studied under Benjamin Graham and David Dodd, both well-known securities analysts. It was through Graham's class in securities analysis that Buffett learned the fundamentals of value investing.
Buffett often publicly remarks that Graham's book, The Intelligent Investor, had changed his life and set him on the path of professional analysis to the investment markets.
Warren is also a passionate philanthropist and has promised to donate over 99% of his wealth. So far he has given more than $41 billion, mostly to the Gates Foundation and his kids' foundations.
