Shot back in the early 2000's, this clip features a modded (just entry level basic bolt-on mods) 1993 LT1 Camaro Z28 (automatic) takes on a stock 2002 LS1 Camaro SS (automatic), and comes up a little short... but it's no secret that these LS1 engines are just pure nasty... but, with minor bolt-ons, an LT1 can be very competitive with the LS1.
The LT1 dyno numbers were 280hp to the wheels and has run a best 13.10 at Mason Dixon Dragstrip. Now keep in mind this an earlier '93 LT1 model and an automatic. The later '96-'97 LT1 cars, especially the 6-speed equipped models were faster.
