After what seems like an age of lockdown I finally got out on the bank and decided on a trip to my favourite stretch of canal (as the river season is still a few weeks away).

Simple float tactics were the order of the day and I decided the lift method would be perfect to counteract the slight breeze and tow.

Armed with a few maggots, some groundbait and a few slices of Mr Warburton's finest I hit the towpath.
