SCT's Melbourne to Perth freight trains usually pass well after dark in winter however a recent change to schedules should see more daylight runs.
Today's train consists of three modern diesel locomotives hauling a mixture of boxcars, louvre vans, refrigerated wagons, shipping containers and steel wagons (include QUBE's bright yellow slab steel wagons).
