A cappella/barbershop quartet earns accolades, audience
(Agawam, Mass.) The Agawam Cultural Council’s popular Applause Series continues online Friday, February 4, 2022 with a pre-recorded performance by New England-based a cappella and barbershop quartet VOCE, to be broadcast/streamed at 7:00 pm on Agawam, Southwick, and Westfield Channel 15. Viewers outside of those towns can enjoy the broadcast in high-def from a browser window by clicking the “Watch” button on www.agawammedia.tv, the “Watch Channel 15” button on www.southwickma.org/channel-15-public-access or “Click Here for Live Stream” on www.cityofwestfield.org/511/Community-Access-TV. This performance was taped especially for this Applause Series broadcast.
Though relatively young as a quartet (being formed in 2014) VOCE is on the fast track to award-winning success with a commitment to hard work, setting goals and having a lot of fun! Three of the four members belong to high-level, award-winning small choruses, Millennium Magic Chorus and Saratoga Soundtrack Chorus. As a foursome, Cheryl Brusket (lead), Beth Paul (bass), Angie Clark (baritone), and Deanna Sargent (tenor) bring more than 75 years of barbershop experience to the group, and have competed internationally at the chorus/quartest level more than 30 times. VOCE was honored to earn sixth place at the 2019 Sweet Adelines International contest in New Orleans.
Production sponsors of VOCE are Kyle and Roberta Miller. The Agawam Cultural Council would also like to thank bankESB, Elaine Carlson, OMG, Inc., the Southwick Cultural Council, Anthony Suffriti, Westfield Bank, and the Westfield Cultural Council for their generous support as Applause Series season sponsors.
