Something is going around and it’s trying to get me 😭
If you have kids, you already know that boogers and coughs are just a part of the journey. In the beginning stages of #motherhood it used to make me so anxious 😬. I used to rush to any over the counter thing I could find to make it go away as quickly as possible.
What I didn’t realize though was that it was usually just masking the symptoms and wasn’t helping the body build immunity towards it and fight it off naturally.
Now, I’m not against using conventional medicine when necessary but I’ve also learned how to treat with alternative and more #holisticwellness options first.
Last week, I shared how the kids were coming down with a come and it was taking them down one by one - Coughs, boogers, clingy behavior, all the things. I remembered how powerful detox baths were and how they could be used to pull the toxins out of our bodies and decided to do one for the kids to get them over the hump and it worked 🙏🏽.
Hendrix woke up the next day almost back to normal.
Well, now it’s trying to hit mama after trying to nurse and care all of my babies back to health. I soaked in the detox bath last night after feeling under the weather and woke up today feeling so much more well rested and fewer symptoms. I’ll continue to do this for the next few days before bed to hopefully get rid of it all.
This is safe for babies, kids and #expectingmoms however pregnant mamas should eliminate the bentonite clay.
Detox Bath Recipe
- 1 cup of Bentonite Clay
- 2 cups of Epsom Salt
- 1/2 cup of Baking Soda
- 1/4 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar
For kids, cut the recipe in half. For pregnant mamas, remove bentonite clay.
Update: feel free to eliminate anything you’re not comfortable with and you’ll benefit from this.
