Very happy to be able to catch a showcase performance by the Dum Dum Girls during the music week in Austin.

Oh yeah regarding the song titles, as is often the case, I'm pressed for time and I'm not going to take the time to get the song names down (for the most part - I usually don't care so much about track names - even for artists that are favorites of mine - but there are often a few I remember of the top of my head. Help is welcome for the rest -- corrections too).

NOTE: EQ and Master Volume have been set so that the audio doesn't clip. Turn it up, play it loud and enjoy!


Recorded on an iPhone 5s using a Zoom mic that has a Lightening Connector specifically for the newer iDevices so, finally, no need for one of those 30-pin adapters. The mic performed well I think - I haven't had much time to compare the results with the other mics I have. It has very nice range of options and a good support app so this may become my go-to mic.

My standard disclaimer: This is a fan video to help spread the word about bands I like. My recording techniques are quite crude because I want to capture the show without interfering with my view of the show and, just as importantly, the view of those around me. So it is likely that some of the camera angles are far less than ideal -- that is because I keep the camera low (out of my fellow fan's sight line) and I rarely watch the display while recording. Add to that the fact that I keep the brightness level very low on the display so that it does not bother my fellow fans enjoyment of the show and it is likely that the video is far from perfect.
