An introduction to the Farmmaps BlightApp, a decision support system allowing you to optimize your preventive control strategy for potato late blight in an IPM context. The BlightApp simulates the P. infestans infection cycle using local high resolution weather data to identify infection events in the near future and recent past. Ideally, fungicide applications are only carried out shortly prior to predicted infection events. The role of more resistant potato varieties is discussed.
