To be honest I never thought someone in Kolkata city will have a collection of this scale. Its not only about the collection but the way these birds are kept. I had a chance to speak to Mr. Addya and he was kind enough to talk to me about his collection and some of the birds. Though I would love to see the complete set up, this was nothing less than an wholesome experience.

Exotic birds
The different species of tropical birds we find are: Psittaciformes: macaws, parrots, parakeets, parrots, parrots, parakeets, parakeets, cockatoos and lories. Passerines: colourful songbirds (goldfinch, finch, canary, hoopoe, oropendola). Columbiformes: pigeons, including domestic pigeons.

The bird guides also have in-depth bird information, covering everything from their native place of origin and when first scientifically described, the habitats and behaviors of each species, and the bird care needed to keep them as a pet.
