The sound head is made from acrylic along with rollers taken from a 16mm synchronizer. The light source is a laser focused through a slit lens onto a silicone photovoltaic cell. To reproduce the sound the PV cell is hooked to a microphone preamp then an amp and speakers. The overall sound quality is better than what is heard in the video. This sound head will when finished will be able to work on both 16mm and 35mm. I am also going to try to add functionality with super8 optical. When completed the designs intended purpose will to be functional on the Kinograph film scanner And as a stand alone unit. If anyone has any suggestions and knowledge as the best light source, possible better than the laser I am using please let me know. Thanks for watching
