“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” (Psalm 133:1).
This is not just an encouraging line; it’s an expectation God has for His people. That kind of unity is entirely possible amongst God’s people when we more fully surrender to Jesus as Lord. You see, Jesus is the Lord of all, so it’s not my place to act like the lord of any. Jesus is Judge of all, so it’s not my place to be the judge of any. The more God’s people surrender to these truths, the more we will understand that our place is to be welcoming, patient, and gracious with one another.
We will be grace-filled in fellowship when we become respectful of Christ’s Lordship.
