After a successful collaboration between MAFB and Eddytude Studio 597 in 2014, fashion fest Suriname returned to Paramaribo in 2015 to scout the very best fashion talents. Designers, make-up artists, hair stylists, models and photographers were able to join the program and followed masterclasses by Peet Dullaert, Mariana Verkerk, Amanda Rijff, Edward Olivier, Harvey Lisse, Nancy Schoenmakers, Scott Schotsborg, Soraya Basiran and Marian Duff.

Within the theme 'fashion then and now', developed in collaboration with fashion and costume platform Modemuze, participants learned about fashion, through history and current phenomena. Very special locations throughout the city underline the character of this fashion fest Suriname, where fashion and history find each other at Courtyard Marriott Paramaribo, Papatam in Albina, Nijverheidschool, Koto Museum and the streets of Paramaribo.

After the program, participating talents upload their portfolio at www.mafb.nl/fashionfest, where an international online jury will select the lucky few who will participate in the finale of fashion fest in November in Amsterdam.
