Ok, I’ll admit that title was cheesy. Anyways, got some Godspeed Project lowering springs off ebay. They drop 1.2 inches in the front and 1.4 inches in the rear. Install was pretty straightforward. This is how it went. I am not a professional, but this is what I learned from others on YouTube and this is how I did it for my install:
First, raise up car and put jack stands.
I started with the rear:
1) put jack under spring cup to relieve some spring tension
2) use open ended 17mm wrench to hold socket and remove 17mm bolt that connects spring cup
3) lower jack slowly to let the spring cup drop
4) apply downward pressure on the spring cup to wedge out the spring from the cup.
5) transfer rubber top and bottom mounts
6) install in reverse order
Fronts:
1) remove, clips from strut bar
2) remove, 3 bolts and 1 nut and 14mm bolts from each side of strut bar, remove strut bar and set aside
3) remove 12mm nut to release brake line from strut housing
4) remove 17mm nut and socket to release end link from lower control arm
5) remove 17mm nut and socket to release strut fork from lower control arm
6) use plier to remove pin from bolt, then 17mm nut from upper control arm
7) remove 3 12mm nuts from up top to free the upper strut mount
8) apply some up pressure on the upper control arm and down pressure on the lower control arm to wedge out the strut assembly
9) use spring compressors (can be rented from auto zone) to relieve spring tension from the upper strut mount
10) use a rag and vice grips to clamp onto the strut needle then take the 17mm nut off the top of the strut.
11) remove upper strut mount, dust cover and spring
12) use rag and vice grips again and put the 17mm nut back on top. i threaded enough to see 5-6 threads above the nut
13) replace spring/strut assembly in reverse order from step 8
