*Both are purple clad goofy villains part of franchises where even in their own universes are viewed as nothing but a joke (The Citizens of Lazy Town just seeing Robbie as some goofy mean guy not to be taken seriously & Waluigi constantly getting foiled alongside Wario from Mario & Luigi and even the fact that he’s only canon within the spin off games and none of the main titles)

*Both have some rivalry with a protagonist that really isn’t fully explored nor explained (Robbie at least knowing Number 9 before Number 10 aka Sportacus showed up and Robbie hating all of the Sports Candy protectors not being explained outside of him wanting to be lazy & Waluigi rivaling Luigi while Mario’s rivalry with Wario is explained from them as babies and kids… Waluigi is just rivaling Luigi cuz with the only real thing being competing for Daisy which really isn’t even their rivalry)

*Both despite their goofiness and failures are also pretty intelligent able to utilize their own items & weapons

*Both despite seemingly being lazy as a character trope.. are actually extremely athletic and able to stay on par with the main protagonists

*And both of course ARE NUMBER WAHN!!!!
