This is one of my favorite things to do in Kansas City on a Friday night in the Summer! I love visiting Messenger really ALL YEAR AROUND, but Friday nights are pretty special over there. Ibis Bakery bakes their hearts out and makes these amazing creations with local farm fresh ingredients and the most delicious bread! Slipper is the french translation of the word Ciabatta, theirs are filled with fontina, cheddar, and gruyere cheeses and topped with a rotating selection of local vegetables. They start taking orders at 6:30 and you had better get there a little bit early to get into the front of the line, as you certainly don't want to still be standing after they sell out, which they do every time. SO AMAZING!!!! I don't know if there is a hard start/end date for this, but seems like it starts in April and ends in September. I'll see you in line!
