The cash strapped Parks and Wildlife Management Authority issued a statement Tuesday asking well wishers with quote "the capacity to acquire and manage wildlife" and enough land to hold animals to get in touch with it to register their interest. The authority has been battling to fund operations in its ten national parks and to keep up with poachers that are increasing attacks on elephant and rhino populations. The authority receives $45 million annually from government but needs an extra $20 million to operate optimally. Details on the animals on offer and their cost are yet to be provided. The worst drought here in more than two decades has left more than 4 million people facing starvation and killed thousands of livestock.
