The first step is very important. And many players underestimate the power of this, the left arm just comes down way too soon. So without realizing it. They're pulling the left arm down, too early. And what that does is it pulls your head down, and then the racket head also gets pulled down. So then the ball has to come down. It's so important to keep your left arm up long enough, and only just before contact you can start bringing down your left arm. Tip number two is, and it ties into the first step. As your left arm goes up you need to put weight onto your back leg, both your legs need to drop down especially your back leg. While your left arm is up.
