How to do Saraswati puja on Vasant Panchami, Navratri and daily. Saraswati puja vidhi steps are : 1. Place a chawki and spread red cloth on it.
2. Place photo or idol of Ma Saraswati on chawki.
3. Light an earthen lamp.
4. Light Doop stick.
5. Pray Goddess Saraswati to come and accept worship.
6. Show earthen lamp and dhoop to her.
7. Put tilak of Ashtgandh Chandan (or plain Sandal paste) on her forehead.
8. Offer yellow flowers in her lotus feet.
9. Offer sweets, fruits to her.
10. Offer holy books and pen to her. Do worship of the holy books and pen by showing earthen lamp, doop, putting tilak of sandal paste, offering flowers. Tie sacred red thread to the pen.
11. After that chant either the one syllable mantra of Goddess Saraswati "ऐं" ("Aim") in the manipur chakra at navel. Chant it as many times as you can, and meditate on Saraswati ji.
12. OR chant this mantra "ॐ ह्रीं ह्रीं ह्रीं ॐ नमः सरस्वत्यै:" (Om Hreem Hreem Hreem Om Namah Saraswatyaih) as many times as you can, and meditate on Saraswati ji during chanting.
13. After completing chanting, offer your japa (chanting) and worship in her lotus feet.
14. By worshiping like this, Goddess Saraswati becomes happy and gives intellect and wisdom.
