During the winter months, as dusk arrives, thousands of starlings gather together to twist, twirl, swoop and swirl across the sky in a beautiful aerial display known as a ‘murmuration’.
Starling murmurations are most common in late November and December, when thousands of migratory starlings from Eastern Europe fly over to join our resident birds. We never tire of their magic!
