March is Kidney Health Month. To celebrate and highlight the challenges of living with kidney disease, in this episode we follow the journey of CKD patient and mother of two young children, Alexis MacKay-Dunn.
Alexis was first diagnosed with kidney disease in 2018 following the birth of her first child, Hayden. Her CKD was being managed by her health care team but when daughter Sloane was born in December 2020, Alexis kidney function dropped severely and although stabilized for the time being, she is in need of a kidney transplant.
With the unrelenting support of her husband Rob by her side, Alexis now faces the challenge of finding a living kidney donor match. Follow their story in this episode.
