Here are 6 tips for catching Yellowtail Snapper! If your in the Florida Keys or South Florida Yellowtail Snapper is a fun fish to try to catch while you are down there. These fish can be found just a few miles offshore and will often come up right to the back of your boat if you put out a block of chum. From there you can let out a small bait, such as a piece of shrimp, squid, or a piece of your chum. Also if you have live bait that works great too. As a bonus you can often catch Mangrove Snapper while you are fishing for Yellowtail Snapper. If the Mangrove Snapper don't come up in your chum try dropping a bait down deep using a small sinker.
