Hey guys its DJ NVision and today I will give you a look at how to use mic work to elevate your school dances! This was my debut at a brand new high school (Colonie High School) and boy they brought the energy! By MCing very club style, and treating it like a performance, you are able to engage the crowd so much. In my opinion the mic is such an invaluable tool that should be used at your school events to bring it from 0 to 100 FAST! This really proves true here where we were able to pack the floor in just 10 minutes after doors open and hold it to the end.

Some of my tricks:
- Start off strong and encourage kids to come to the front and not be shy!
- Call and Response! Start the phrase and cut the volume.
- Don't be afraid to stand on your subs like it's a stage to hype the crowd up and connect with them.
- ACT LIKE YOU ARE HAVING FUN (even if you HATE school dances)! The kids can tell when you want to be there and by engaging and having just as much fun as them, THEY REACT BETTER!
- You'll see in the middle I essentially bridge my set by playing 3 back to back vibey songs. By using the mic I am able to really get the crowd going regardless of the fact that I am slowing it down.
