Besik Kudukhov was an outstanding freestyle wrestler and a promising athlete whose life was tragically cut short at the age of twenty-seven. He dreamed of an Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling, having already had an Olympic bronze and silver. He had all the chances for that triumph, and was one of the most technically adept freestyle wrestlers. But, it did not happen. Fate did not give him a chance to win the Olympic gold.
