Kovai Sarala is an Indian film actress and comedian, who prominently plays supporting roles in Tamil and Telugu films. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Sarala has appeared in over 750 films.[1] She has won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Comedian three times, for her performances in Sathi Leelavathi (1995), Poovellam Un Vasam (2001) and Uliyin Osai (2008).[2] She has also won the Nandi Award for Best Female Comedian for her performance in Ori Nee Prema Bangaram Kanu (2003)[3] and the Vijay Award for Best Comedian for her performance in Muni 2: Kanchana (2011).
Sattanathapuram Venkataraman Shekhar (Tamil: சட்டநாதபுரம் வெங்கடராமன் சேகர்) (born 26 December 1950) better known as 'S. Ve. Shekhar' is a Tamil playwright and film actor. In 2006, he made an entry into politics by contesting and winning the Legislative Assembly Elections as an All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) candidate from Mylapore. In June 2009 he decided to start his own party after he had issues with AIADMK, and was expelled from the party, due to anti-party activities.[1] In February 2009 he started Brahmins Association under the banner FEBAS which has not received any support from the already existing association THAMBRAAS.
S. S. Chandran (Tamil: எஸ். எஸ். சந்திரன்; died October 9, 2010) was a comedy actor, producer and politician from Tamil Nadu, India. He belonged to the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party and was a Member of the Parliament representing Tamil Nadu in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament.
