as The Indian Air Force will soon be equipped with state-of-art Rafale Fighter Jets which will be stationed at Hasimara Air Base while China already has 5th generation Chengdu J-20 jets.so, we are going analyse how the Rafale Fighter Jets compete against Chinese J-20
RAFALE-This is two engines based single and double seater multilayer fighter aircraft and can reach upto 2222 km per hour.
Rafael has a height of 5.30 meters, length 15.30 meters and wingspan 10.90 meters. In Rafale, the Meteor missile (radar-guided beyond-visual-range air-to-air) can hit upto 150 km, the SCALP missile can hit up to 300 km on the ground. Now HAMMER missile will be installed soon.
J-20-Like the Rafale, this Chinese aircraft is also a two-engine all-weather fifth-generation stealth fighter aircraft.
Its height is 4.45 m, length 20.4mtr and wingspan is 12.88 to 13.50 mtr.PL-15 missiles (radar-guided air-to-air) can hit up to 300 km and PL-21 missiles (beyond-visual-range air-to-air) can hit up to 400 km.
Will the Rafale be able to match the Chengdu J-20 in war?
Rafale has been tested in various wars and proven, where as world do not know much about J20.
We don’t know how “ stealthy” J20 is. Being stealthy is all about a flight computer creating a course to avoid any useful detection of enemy radars and of course, the shape of the aircraft and coating of the Aircraft is designed to deflect radar waves and coating can absorb radar waves. Even B2 spirit is stealthy from front side and not from back. So it chart a course to avoid exposing back side. It’s a combinations of electronics inside place, satellites and knowledge of enemy radar system etc.
