Cardigan Bay is a haven for marine wildlife, located on the coast in the middle of Cardigan Bay is the small town of New Quay (Cei Newydd), known for being a hot spot for sightings of bottlenose dolphins. Bottlenose dolphins visit New Quay harbour regularly throughout the year, with increased activity from April through until November.
This camera has been set up so that the Living Seas team at the CBMWC can monitor and observe dolphin activity in the bay and so the team can share the amazing experience of watching dolphins off the Welsh coast with everyone!
The camera stream is brought to you by the Living Seas team from the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre (CBMWC).
CBMWC is part of The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales (WTSWW) and this project has been set up as part of the Living Seas Wales project. The initial setup of this camera was made possible thanks to funding from the National Heritage Lottery Fund (NHLF) and Players of the People's Postcode Lottery (PPL).
