On July 3rd 2023, the European Citizen Science (ECS) project held its first cluster event on the role of citizen science in higher education. The event was titled "Fostering the Higher Education Sector in Europe: The Role of Citizen Science in Transforming Universities". It had two parts: the first showcased projects sharing experiences and lessons learned in integrating citizen science practices and activities in universities, and the second involved group activities. This video contains the recording of the first part, featuring introductory presentations by Stijn Delauré (EU policy officer), Claudia Fabó Cartas (project manager of ECS), and Cléa Montanari (Learning Planet Institute). It also includes presentations from invited speakers, including Dr. Maria Aristeidou (ECSA Working Group - Citizen Science and Universities), Dr. Fernando Vilariño Freire (SMART-ER Project, ECIU University), Dr. Maya van den Berg (INCENTIVE), Eline Livemont (EUTOPIA-Train), and Claudia Iasillo (TIME4CS).
