My husband had two emotional affairs and the second one became physical. He left home to pursue that relationship and was gone for about one year. He texted me every day and came home once a month. He made sure he was home for all the birthdays and holidays. He returned home about 6 months ago and said he wants to try to make our marriage work. He’s still not the man I married and I see a lot of MLC struggling within him. Do you have any advice for a spouse with a returned MLC partner who isn’t through the MLC? I know I’m very lucky to have a chance at saving my marriage, so I hate to sound ungrateful, but this is harder than I thought it would be. He still says things to me like I love you, but I’m not in-love with you, but he’s back home to see if it’s possible to fall back in love. That kind of pressure is so overwhelming. I know I can’t make him fall in love with me!
