Truck 50 responding to assist Station 905 (Blue Rock Fire Rescue - Millersville) on a fire alarm that was upgraded to a building fire when they arrived with smoke showing. Crews found a small fire inside that had been extinguished. The Truck crew assisted with ventilation before leaving. Willow Street Fire Company. Taken 6/4/24

A: Our fire house is located in the town of Willow Street, just south of Lancaster City, Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
Q: "What is the spinning thing?"
A: That is called the "Roto-Ray," it is a spinning light designed to catch drivers attention.
Q: "Why is the call so far away?" or "Why does it take so long to get there?"
A: Many of our responses, or at least many of the ones that are uploaded are responding to assist other departments. Usually another firehouse can be seen or is passed by who is already on the call. We can reach the far end of our first due in West Lampeter Twp within 5 minutes, and in Providence Twp about 7.
