In this episode [89], Alicia of Bruno Simão Attorneys discusses the differences between Transfer Costs vs Bond Registration Costs. We have noticed that some clients are not aware that when they Purchase a property and a bond is registered, that two (2) statements of accounts are involved in the process.

The one statement is for the Transfer costs. Although it is standard practice for the Seller to appoint the Conveyancer, it is the Purchaser who is responsible for the payment of the Transfer Costs.

When the Purchaser applies for a bond and the bank instructs bond attorneys to register the bond simultaneously with the transfer, Bond Registration costs are also involved which are paid to the Bond Attorneys.
