It was thought that Carlos Sainz had a 50/50 choice of Audi/Stake or Williams for 2025, but it’s emerged that Sainz has had a lucrative late offer from Alpine. Flávio Briatore has been bought in as a special advisor, with one of his first targets to identify a new driver to replace Esteban Ocon. The deal is rumoured to be competitive, with Alpine also showing great recovery after now scoring in 3 consecutive races and 2 double point finishes.
