Slovenia is probably one of our favourite destinations in Europe to date, and Lake Bled has been on our bucket list since we first visited Slovenia in 2019 when all the campsites were full! In 2024 we are back as part of our 6 week campervan roadtrip around Europe.
Join us as we travel north from Croatia to Slovenia, spending 24 hours in stunning Southern Slovenia before we hit the crowds of Lake Bled. Over the next few days we take a couple of scenic hikes in all the weathers and a memorable wild swim in crystal clear waters of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this bucket list destination, but would we return?
We are Richard and Jackie and we live in the UK. We retired from teaching at the age of 51 in the summer of 2022. Our plans for early requirement include relocating to the Yorkshire Dales, developing our forever home and travelling the UK, Europe and eventually the world in our VW campervan Nelson.
