Many REAL gospel preachers whom I consider beloved brothers in Christ are preaching that WORKS ARE NECESSARY FOR SALVATION DURING THE "GREAT TRIBULATION" but is this true? I believe this is NOT TRUE; I believe it is based on a misunderstanding of the meaning of Revelation 14:12 that says the "saints" are those that "keep the commandments of God" AND have the FAITH OF Jesus Christ...Faith OF Jesus Christ. THIS IS MY UNDERSTANDING AND AM NOT SAYING ANYTHING AGAINST THESE PREACHERS...THEY ARE WONDERFUL BROTHERS THAT ARE CONTENDING FOR THE GOSPEL! Keep watching them...they preach truth on salvation; however, I disagree on their eschatology. I explain via OTHER scripture what I believe this verse is actually saying but even if it IS meaning what THEY say it does...what are the "commandments"? The OLD Covenant? or NEW? I don't think "KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS" means what most think. I hope this sheds light on this verse and gives you another perspective. WORKS COULDN'T SAVE THEM IN THE PAST (its why past sins before the cross are said to be forgiven also in scripture) WORKS CAN'T SAVE ANYONE NOW and WORKS (our righteousness is still "filthy rags' before God) CANNOT SAVE IN THE FUTURE!
