Character Education celebrates each student's uniqueness and individuality while respecting others. Students learn to share kindness and be caring while learning to be a good sport and be fair.
"Fairness doesn't always mean getting the same thing, but getting what you need," says WSS Assistant Principal Ms. Christy Neu who started the Character Education Program at the beginning of the school year.
The program is based on the Six Pillars of Character, citizenship, caring, fairness, responsibility, respect and trustworthiness.
Students received awards for displaying fairness with others in their classrooms and throughout the school during the month of February.
