During the military and political gathering of 30 European and North American countries, Stoltenberg stressed the importance of focusing on the rising power, influence, and military capabilities of China. According to NATO’s final summit statement, China’s ‘stated ambitions and assertive behavior present systemic challenges to the rules-based international order and to areas relevant to Alliance security.’
