We discuss why SMW-AUTOBLOK invested in a Mazak Variaxis i-1050 T, this large 5th axis machine as turning capability and lends itself perfectly for the bespoke ‘Rotating’ fixtures that they manufacture, it obviously saves operations, saves time and saves the moving of large parts from machine to machine!
They are using a SMW-AUTOBLOK Chuck on the machine to hold parts up to 1,500 metre in diameter which really illustrates the portfolio of workholding solutions that they offer from bespoke to the standard range.
