In this episode I work on some of the more tedious things that need to be done. Including tearing down the manifold and TGVs, deleted the TGV motors, cutting out the metal fins inside and polishing them. In addition I complete all the cleaning and masking in order to lay down some fresh paint! The finished product looks damn good I must say and I cannot wait to see what the engine looks like once its put back together.
I also strip all the old wiring lume and tape off the manifold wiring harness so that I can relume that crusty old thing. This is something that I have never done before and over all it wasn't too bad, just a little time consuming.
If you missed the previous videos about this car then let me get you up to speed. The goal for this project is to do a budget friendly performance build. A car that is a comfortable daily but can also be tracked. My budget is $10k all said and done. I spent $1,500 on the car so we still have some funds to play with.
Although I do think this will be challenging, especially because I'm never willing to put cheap parts on my cars, I still think it's doable. My main goal for this is to inspire the average person that doesn't think it's financially possible to build a fun project car.
