Company is in the business of passive infrastructure sharing which is based on building, owning, operating and maintaining passive telecom infrastructure sites capable of hosting active network components of various technologies viz., 2G, 3G, 4G, IoT and Enterprise Wireless Network, of multiple telecom operators as well providing energy management solutions.
Company has a portfolio of about 28,000 towers located across all the 22 Telecom Circles in India

Company's business model of infrastructure sharing enables the Telecom Operators to convert their CAPEX to a fixed and predictable OPEX, allowing them to divert their capital towards core activities. Company's revenues arise under long term (5-10-15 years) contracts with the Wireless Telecom Operators. Contracts are renewable upon expiry of the term, at the option of the Telecom Operators.

a) Infrastructure Sharing:
Company enables Telecom Operators to host their active equipment at its sites by providing space in shelters and optimum heights for mounting antennae on towers.
b) Energy Management:
Company delivers uninterrupted power on towers at predetermined costs to its customers. Company utilizes energy sources and storage solutions through technology and skills and work with customers for Demand Management and clean energy solutions deployment.

In FY21, company generated revenue from Telecom/Network Infrastructure Facilities ~59% and Energy and Other Reimbursements ~41%
Operational Issues:

In FY20/21, there was a shut down/exit of 12-14 telecom operators which resulted in abandonment of 14,000+ company towers. Consequently, company suffered huge losses of revenue towards Infrastructure Provisioning Fees / Rentals and related costs. Post abandonment of these towers, discontinuing operators didn’t make payment of their contractual dues including rents payable to landlords. Due to non-receipt of rental amounts, rentals to landlords for such sites remained unpaid. Apart from this in FY21, disgruntled landowners / miscreants dismantled 1171 out of the above unoccupied
