The government has dropped its plan to bring back all primary school year groups by July.
Education Secretary Gavin Williamson said they are not able to welcome back all primary school children for a full month before the summer.
Currently Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 are being asked to return to primary schools in England.
The plan was for all remaining primary school pupils to return to school for a month before the summer holidays.
