The Nigeria Police and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board have alerted the public of several fake websites to mislead candidates preparing for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Addressing a joint Press conference at the force headquarters in Abuja, the force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the fake sites were designed to deceive innocent candidates into providing their personal details for exploitative tendencies.
He urged parents to ensure their wards print their UTME details only from JAMB approved website.
ACP Adejobi further assured that the Police and JAMB are working together to address the concerns as well as ensure a fair and transparent examination process.
Meanwhile, JAMB spokesman, Dr Fabian Benjamin warned against patronizing the fake sites as a committee has been constituted by the Board to do the needful.
The UTME is slated to commence on Friday 19 April, 2024.
