The 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is still a newcomer to the Australian market, but China's latest mid-size SUV is looking to tempt family car buyers with its strong value for money during a cost of living crisis. Point being, it is well positioned to shake-up a mainstream segment that's dominated by the Toyota RAV4, among other established players.
So, what exactly does the Tiggo 7 Pro have going for it? Well, unlike other mainstream Chinese brands, Chery isn't looking to offer cheap and cheerful models. Instead, it's placing itself slight upmarket, where it intends to compete with Mazda and Volkswagen on features – but not price.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar and her family of three spend a week living with the Tiggo 7 Pro's mid-range Elite variant to see if it actually has what it takes to steal sales away from its competitive set – and we're not just talking from a bang for your buck point of view.
