Tau Suan is a sweet Chinese dessert, made of split mung beans. It is common in Singapore, at hawker centres and food court. This Teochew Restaurant (called Chui Huay Lim) does a more sophisticated version of this local Singaporean favourite, adding in some orange peel (to give it a zesty flavour) plus ginko nuts.
