I figured I'd start learning how to make maps for Quake 3 because I'm interested in making custom maps for 007: Agent Under Fire, which also runs on the Quake 3 engine. Right now, it's not possible to make maps for that game, but maybe one day it will be. Plus, I also really like Quake 3 so it would be fun to make custom maps even if Agent Under Fire modding never moves past hex editing and Action Replay codes. My main goal is to make custom AUF maps but I also think it would be cool to remake AUF maps in Quake 3.
This map was made using GTKRadiant, and I followed cityy's tutorial to make this.
Note that I'm actually playing Quake Live in this video, but it runs on the same engine as Quake 3 Arena and uses the same map format, so maps are compatible between both games. Quake Live just runs better on modern systems.
