Officially known as the First Cliff Walk presented by Tissot, this elevated walkway leads up to a platform at Bergrestaurant, with a vantage point that stretches 45 metres (148 ft) over the void below, and offers an unimpeded view of a typically Swiss mountain range.
During the colder months, the area is understandably popular with skiers and winter sports enthusiasts; however.
The ‘First’ in the cliff walk actually comes from the name of the famous summit of the Jungfrau mountain range. The bridge hangs 2,000 metres (6,500 ft) above the ground at its highest point and is free to enter.
The walkway is open for most of the year, although it’s worth checking the opening times and dates before you visit.
