Sharon began playing the bass at age 4 with a custom-made baby bass. She's had some amazing mentors over the years. Starting with her Dad, saxophonist, and band leader Fritz K Renold, and then guitarist Marius Bröchin who taught her the ropes of making music on the bass. There was bassist Reggie Hamilton at the Jazzaar Festival who taught and inspired her to sing and play 'If You Want Me To Stay' (Sly and the Family Stone) [ Ссылка ].
Also at the Jazzaar Festival, she was mentored by Kai Eckhard, Neil Jason, and Alphonso Johnson among others as well as the singer/songwriter/keyboardist Oli Rockberger.
At the Berklee College of Music, where Sharon graduated in 2018, she studied under several bassists, among them James Genus and Lincoln Goines.
