The squad I selected can counter JML composition with JKR and JKL, but failed badly against this GMY squad.

The reason for this failure is that even though my Vader was faster than GMY, and even though the 15% TM from weapon tech cancels out the 15% TM JML gives his allies on his AoE, JML also reduces enemy TM on his AoE. This pushed GMY ahead of Vader, and when GMY spread tenacity up it stopped the EP TM train from ever getting started.

In JKR compositions Vader will also be TM removed and go after JKR, but JKR will simply mark Traya (JKR AI is coded to go after Traya first) and then Vader will be able to start the TM train after that mark. Even if JKL does his mass stun, Traya will cleanse the stun (as well as JML's ability block) and allow Vader to start the TM train.

My mistake was simply thinking that JML-JKR-JKL is a stronger team and that this counter should also work against this weaker squad, without properly considering the actual mechanics.
